Grow Your Blog!

Welcome to my quilting blog!
My name is Brittany and I am a newbie quilter learning the ropes.  I began quilting in October 2013 after attending a local Quiltfest, and I have fallen head over heels in LOVE with it ever since.  I have always loved to blog and I thought that it would be a great way to showcase my creative side and also to connect with other crafty people around the world.  To give a little background information on me, I am a Young Adult Librarian in a public library in Arkansas.  I absolutely LOVE my job, but in my spare time I enjoy sewing and teaching myself new quilting techniques.  I enjoy spending my days off roaming around the local fabric stores in search of amazing new fabrics (and other awesome stuff).  If you want to see the quilts I have created thus far, please visit the "My Quilts" tab at the top of the page or follow the link (this link contains both finished quilts as well as works-in-progress quilts).

As a special thanks to you all for visiting my blog.....
I am hosting my "First-Ever Giveaway" on Pickles Quilting!

  18. Hi, Brittany - I LOVE the enthusiasm you have for your new found love of quilting - all of us should remember how it was when we first started! Actually, I still get excited with each and every quilt I complete. Keep up the great work - and we have a term for the pieced backing you did with the leftovers on your star quilt - we call it Back Art, in my circles here. I LOVE using up my fabric pieces that way! I have been quilting for perhaps 30 years, but only blogging for a week (linsquilts.blogspot.com) . Please tell me as much as you can about doing this. You seem to be MUCH farther ahead than I am. How do you get give away stuff? I have so many questions.

About give-aways....I usually just buy something from a local fabric store (since I do not have sponsors), then post about it having everyone answer a question of some sorts. It is very easy. 85. Brittany,

I have really enjoyed my visit to your blog this evening. Your post about the snowy roadway and the 2 1/2 hour drive remind me that we in South Carolina woke up this morning to the ice brought on by winter storm Pax. People are losing power all over the place around here, but we have been fortunate so far and still have electricity.

All of these wonderful quilting blogs, like yours, are making me want to get busy using some of my hoard of fabrics.

I am signing up to be a follower and I hope you can make it over to check out my blog!

  86. I am a part-time librarian myself ... although I do not specialise as I work in branches. My favourite show ... that is impossible to answer ... as I have many. It is mainly crime drama. Currently we are rewatching the Mentalist, we love Lie to Me, and Leverage (that is to name but a few).

    Enjoy the party!
